Domini Marshall is a writer/director whose work explores gender, social norms and the experiences of women.

Her films have been screened across Australia, with her most recent short, Go with Grace, premiering at Melbourne International Film Festival (MIFF) 2022, in the Australian Shorts Program. This follows her previous short film, Slap, which premiered at MIFF in the Accelerator Shorts Program in 2021.

From 2017 - 2019, she directed her words – an Australian interview-based web series offering a platform to amplify the voices of women which released 50 episodes and received over 220,000 views. her words’ was created to help eliminate the fatigue that comes from simply existing in this world as women, through validating women’s stories, educating viewers and helping women feel less alone. In doing so, Domini was recognised as one of the Foundation for Young Australian’s Young Social Pioneers and in 2017 her words was awarded the inaugural Female Empowerment Grant from TOM Organic.

From 2018 - 2019, Domini was the Administrator of the Natalie Miller Fellowship Board, a not-for-profit supporting the professional leadership of women in the Australian screen industry, and was the Program Manager of the 2019 Natalie Miller Fellowship Brilliant Careers Leadership Forum.

Domini brings 12+ years experience in communications to her work, blending the creative and commercial, authentic and aspirational. She currently leads the Communications Team at The Equality Institute, proactively managing and expanding a global creative communications portfolio that contributes to advancing gender equality and preventing violence against women and girls.

In 2021, Domini completed a Masters in Film and Television (Narrative) at Victorian College of the Arts. Previously, she completed a Bachelor of Arts, with Honours, in Creative Writing at The University of Melbourne (2012).
